Cruise Reviews

A very enjoyable two weeks

I have just spent a very enjoyable 15 nights on Ocean Village 2. My husband and I have enjoyed many years of cruising but this is the first time we have been on Ocean Village and I must say that after the first couple of days had passed, we grew to enjoy the experience more amd more. The fact that we only ever saw our cabin steward was in the corridor and yet our cabin was immaculate, no dancing around on the last night waiting for tips. We were left alone to enjoy what we wanted, when we wanted and were not pestered for photos whilst in the middle of our dinner (you know what I mean, broccoli in the teeth photo). The cabin was one of the largest cabins I have stayed in and as for hanging and drawer space, we had room to spare. The whole ship was spotless and the food was real food. They seemed to cater for every taste especially the British palate. Breakfasts were my weakness, a real English breakfast. Organisation on embarking and disembarking was a doddle and all the staff and crew were pleasant with their dealings with passengers. Now for the negatives. I did find that although I wasn't fighting to get my food, organisation seemed a little lacking with the evening meal. People were reserving sunbeds from 4.30am even though a threat to remove towels after 30 minutes was in place, it rarely happened and there were not enough sunbeds for the passengers as there was a shortage of space. This was also very noticeable in the entertainment bar when people were forced to stand for hours on end or miss out on the entertainment altogether. Overall though, I would not hesitate to holiday with them again or recommend them to others.
