Oceania real value for money, but ....

We have just returned from our second cruise with Oceania. The cruise was the last of the year in the Med and the weather was not brilliant - but that is not Oceania's fault. As with our previous experience, the ship, its staff, and the food were excellent. With a choice of four restaurants and open seating one was spoilt for choice. What is more the dress code is decidedly casual with NO formal evenings whatsoever - saves a lot on packing. Most of the cabins on the ship are smaller than on some ships but still more than adequate with plenty of storage space. The majoirty of the passengers were American with a good proportion of Canadians and a few Brits and Australians. It made for some lively conversations, especially as we were on board for the US elections!

We do have one major gripe. The shore excursions were grossly overpriced and ranged from very poor to satisfactory.

I would recommend the company as being great value for money but be prepared to "do your own thing" in the various ports of call.
