Azamara .....Small is Beautiful

Reviewed By: Bassett, Lancing on 25th Nov 2008
Cruise Line: Azamara Cruises Times cruised before: 10+
Cruise Ship: Azamara Quest Sailed: November, 2008
Destination: Mediterranean Age: 56-65
We travelled on Azamara Quest from Rome to Athens via 10 locations in Turkey, Greece, including Creete,Cyprus, and Alexandria.
We have also cruised on Azamara Journey (March this year)...
Embarkation & Disembarkation quickest we have ever known!!! No big queues.
Food and service second to none, Cabins and Ships public rooms etc. are kept spotless. A joy to be on a ship which carries just 704 passengers rather than those floating "Holiday Camps" of several thousand passengers.
For anyone contemplating a cruise on Azamara Quest & Journey three things to consider: Gratuities are added to your on board account at the rate of 12.5 dollars per person per day and is MANDATORY!!! The drinks are expensive and this is compounded by a 18% service charge (We did not drink on board) If you want big ship (floating holiday camp) entertainment then do not cruise Azamara.
We had a great time and would cruise again with them..............if the price is right!!!
