A fantastic time for two weeks on in the caribbean

Having just returned from a wonderful two weeks on board Sea Princess, I fail to see how many people write negative statements most of which is a load of rubbish My wife and I have sailed on Sea Princes twice before and can highly recommend this ship to anyone.We always take the set dining option for our evening meal and for the rest of the pick and choose when and where to eat ,the food on board is first class ,plentiful and always well presented. People who complain about cramped small cabins must be of an obese nature as wehave always found them comfortable .clean and tidy with more room tah an average semi bedroom ,what do people want for gooness sake a cabin is only a place to sleep and get dressed in. All of our islands visited were excellant with the excwption of to Samana and Caracas,the excursions were plentiful maybe a little dear in some resorts but if you shop around and join other people you sometimes get a better deal espexcially if you are good ate bartering, the ships staff fall over themselves to help you enjoy your cruise as do the entertainment staff . My wife and I are looking forward to our next cruise with Princess cruises in the near future and would score them 10 out of 10 for value

we are about to go on our first cruise and would like to know more of your thoughts about samana & caracas.would you recommend any trips or is it best doing your own thing. many thanks.austin

Hi, def do trips or stay on board, both ports are not good. Not safe to do anything on your own in Caracas, we stayed on ship as none of the trips appealled to us. Samana, well what can i say, we thought we would go to a beach, until we found out the price !!!!!!!! $150 just to get there. We did have a short walk but not a lot to see !!! Having said that we had great time, hope you do too

We were on the same cruise and agree with you. We are a bit on the weighty side and the cabin was just perfect. Shame about your Samana experience, for us it was the tops as were on an island and swam in the sea. We like you have been on the Sea Princess before, we couldn't beleive some of the negs but there you are Horses for Courses I suppose. All we know is if we are lucky enough to go again it will be with Princess so Lopez of Basinstoke ENJOY

Hi, in my experience, having done this cruise twice & it being our 5th cruise now, you can save a lot of money by getting off the ship & doing a trip with the many taxis etc just outside the cruise terminal. we like to go to the beaches, & always went in a taxi & paid on average $10 each compared to $30 each thru ship. But always pay the fare on return trip, they will not forget to return for you then ! Have a great time
