It was my first real cruising experience. It was the first time my Wife had left the UK, it was also the first time she had flown except for a short hop over to Ireland 40 years ago. From the moment our luggage was checked in at the airport we didn't see it again until we walked into our mini suite on the ship. From that moment on everything was better than I or my Wife could have hoped for, the suite with balcony was more than I hoped for in size as I had to take a wheelchair for my Wife. The food was better than some top London Hotels I've stayed in, plus, you can eat 24/7. The ship was spotless inside and out. What can I say about the Staff, they were all brilliant, however, two members of staff really made our cruise special, our Cabin Steward 'Arthur'covering our cabin B422, down to the chocolates he left on the pillows at night and 'Victoria' one of the Stewardess's in the Horizon Restaurant, they went the extra mile to make our holiday the holiday of a lifetime. The entertainment was varied, professional and so enjoyable. Will we go again,YES, as long as it's on a Princess cruise. I can't begin to see how any other cruise line could beat Princess. NO, I am not getting paid for this.
Quality of Food
We did not eat the same meal twice in 14 days. We had a choice of Formal Dining which we enjoyed the first night but found the Anytime Dining Buffet style was better for us. The meals were wonderful and so varied. There was nothing I wouldn't have eaten.
Entertainment
There was a proffessional comedian, who was without a doubt the best I have seen, on or off the TV. The Ship's own band, singers and dancers were just amazing, from ballet to tap to ballroom, salsa to line dancing they were just exceptional, I couldn't fault them. Their shows were faultless.
Shore Excursions
Without a doubt, the best was the dolphin experience, seeing my Wife who is petrified of water, who cannot swim, in water up to her chest, kissing and stroking a dolphin. Then getting my Wife on to a bamboo river raft for a trip down a river in Jamaica. I was not impressed with Samana in Dominica, to many guns in evidence, but that was not the fault of the Cruise line.
Staff
My Cabin Steward 'Arthur'was just the best. On my arrival in our Suite B422, It was spotless. Within minutes Arthur was there asking if everything was to our satisfaction. It was. However, I had lost the keys to our cases, I asked Arthur if he could get something to open the locks, he left to return in a few minutes with bolt cutters, no problem, job done. He changed bedding daily, turned back the bed at night leaving chocolates on the pillows. Nothing we asked was to much trouble.

Onboard Activities
YES, Dancing lessons, Cookery demo's, Wine Tasting for beginners to the connoisseurs, different live music and quizzes in the verious bars. Two different shows in the theaters each night. Or you could go and watch a film on the big screen on the sun deck during the evening or during the day whilst you sunbathed. Water vollyball in one of the Pools, Golf, to going for a massage. You may want to go to the gym to burn off those extra calories. There is something for everyone all day ,all night if you want it.
Cabins
It was more than my expectations, I had a sitting room and a bedroom, with a separate toilet and separate shower and whirlpool bath. The bedding was changed daily and the towels were chaged daily or more if you used them during the day in your bathroom, you had seperate towels provided for the beach or sundecks. I also had two sets of french doors leading on to my private balcony. We had two TV's one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom with a great selection of viewing. My own phone on which I could call any one anywhere on the ship. In conclusion, the whole cruise was outstanding from start to finish, far beyond our expectations.

I would agree that this Princess cruise is excellent but I would say your wording might be confusing to some who have not experienced it for themselves. 'Anytime' dining is *NOT* buffet style dining. The Traviata offers fixed (formal?) dining. You are seated at the same table always with the same people and served at either 6.30 or 8.30 (I believe) every day. The Rigoletto offers 'Anytime' dining. It is exactly the same service but you have the freedom to eat at a time of your choice between (I believe) 6.30 and 10.30, at any table with any other passengers - rather than one of the two fixed seating times. The Horizon Court, however, offers buffet style self-service dining.
