We did a new years cruise on the Pacific Princess. We flew to Miami and had a night in a hotel. Flew the next day to Manaus on the Amazon. We had a great time, met some some lovely people. Our table in the main restaurant was a table for eight , we were all British. We had a really good time with all of them we got on very well and spent an enjoyable new year with them.

The Amazon is and amazing to place to visit, very interesting but it is so sad to see how much of the rain forest is being burnt all day and every day. Our next stop wa Devils Island which we really enjoyed it was so hot that day. The weather was very hot and humid all the time with some very heavy rain showers.

When then visited Tobago, St. Lucia and the St. Maarten we had been to these places before but it was nice to return to them.

The ship was spotlessly clean and all the crew were great and vey friendly. Food was excellent and of very good quality. The entainment was not to our liking but we did enjoy the production shows. We had a mini suite which was a good size and kept spotless by our stewardess Bianca who was a delight.

I would recommend the Amazon to anyone.
