Beware Of Soft Drinks Package!

just returned from a two week med cruise on the grand,very good weather and a tan to die for!! however we did the same cruise last year and the hot tubs are still broken!!!we purchased a soft drinks package on the first day, the waiters around the pool would take your order for the drinks but never return with it, we felt that they were happy to sell the package because they get 15% service on it,but then we were a nuissance asking for the drinks,they would even deliver drinks to the people on the next beds(cocktails) and still not bring our soft drinks!!this was our 14th cruise with princess and i do feel miffed about this problem, otherwise very good.

Is there a drinks package for alcoholic drinks on Princess line@ Where can I find details of drinks packages on line?

hi there are no alcoholic drinks packages available just coffee and soft drinks regards debbie

oh dear im going on the grand in feb around the caribean and dont drink so thought we would take advantage of the drinks package on soft drinks- how was the tipping done im told you can opt out of the charge they put on per person per cabin and tip the people who you meet. reguards gary

hi , you are correct they charge $10.50 per person per day tips, we always go to the pursers desk on day 0ne and get them removed, then at the end of the cruise tip the people we think looked after us well. as i said this was our 14th cruise with princess and the first time we felt like this. the soft dinks package for 2 weeks costs $59 plus 15%service charge, also be aware any other drinks you buy also carry a 15% service charge which you cannot have removed. i am sure you will have a fab cruise, the caribean is fab regards debbie

Thanks Debbie only been on a thompson cruise last yr rd the med jus to deep my feet in cruises lol so this will be the big one, many thanks for returning my question -reguards Gary
