The ship was very comfortable and well presented, and clean.
Food was mediocre during the day, plenty of it but it was not very appetising.Quantity rather than quality "All you can eat mentality" with a lot left on plates.mainly frozen food used which they seem to thrive on rather than taking on fresh items local to the country you are visiting.
Breakfast fried eggs were precooked and left out so that they had unpleasant 'skins' on.
Large buffet style meals, tea and coffee pretty revolting ,unless paying extra for freshly brewed coffee.
Dinner which was free seating was the best meal, service was good.Pizza and burger bars good if you enjoy that sort of meal.
Some excellent films were shown on board.
Tours were excellent good value for money and the onboard commentary coming in to each Port was excellent and informative .
They wanted us off the ship just after 8 a.m in the morning, when the cruise ended.
We had been assured several times by Princess Cruise office, before we signed up for the Cruise that we would be able to stay until late afternoon, as the only flight they could get for us was after 10 p.m on the same day.
This meant a whole day of sitting in an airport as there was nowhere for us to leave our baggage, as it was a small airport in Venice lacking facilities. We therefore had a whole day at the Airport, if we had known we would not have booked this Cruise.
This actually ruined the whole trip.Passengers should always be made aware of this as when the ship docks the staff want you gone!
The Staff on board the ship could not have cared less, and the Princess Head office had given us contradicting information for which noone would take responsibility. This was pretty appalling for a large cruise line.Passengers beware.Get something in writing before you sail!
When trying to contact senior personnel on this ship to complain it is impossible.A few passengers lost their luggage for the whole cruise and Princess Staff again did very little for them! Their PR department was dreadful, uncaring and disinterested in problems, and senior staff hiding away leaving very junior staff to deal face to face situations.
There were at several people left in this situation as they had made a mess of the return flight bookings.
