We booked a Princess Cruise and Land Tour to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversay in July 2008. We had been advised to take the land tour first so that we could relax on the cruise, this was good advice due to the fact there there were many days we had to start very early to take in all the sights which were amazing. Our BA flight from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to Calgary was good and on schedule. We were greeted at the airport by our tour director and taken to the Palliser Hotel which was excellent, we then proceeded next day to Banff and stayed at the spectacular Banff Springs Hotel next day we continued our sight seeing tour heading towards our next stop over at Chateau Lake Louise, again the Hotel was wonderful with fabulous views over the Lake next day we took in the wonderful sights taking a snow coach on to Atharbasca Glacier, we went white water rafting which was great fun. We then moved on to Jasper Park and stay in a very comfortable log cabin. For the next two days we travelled on the Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver, again we received excellent service. We stayed overnight in another wonderful Fairmont Hotel overlooking the bay. We travelled down to Seattle to pick-up Golden Princess for a fabulous cruise with ports of call at Juneau, Skagway, Kechikan and cruised up Tracey Arm, we should have had a day in Victoria but unfortunately could not get in due to windy conditions. We did so much the tours were really good, we flew in a helicoper, travelled the white pass railway, panned for gold, went on a boat trip saw amazing wild life - bears, elk, whales, bald eagles, seals. The stateroom, food, entertainment and service was excellent. All in all I would highly recommend the trip - what wonderful memories we have.
