It all depends on personal taste, as I was on that Cruise, and for me one of the disappointments was David Moore, as after suffering two nights in the Crooner's Bar, my wife and I would go anywhere else but there, whereas on other cruises that has been our usual evening highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiz's on offer, and actually found them far more English in nature then other Princess Cruises - possibly because having sailed from Southampton, there were more Brits on board then anybody else. Agree with comments about some of the shows, and also thought Jimmy Tammley was excellent, roaring with laughter at both of his shows. As Stones says different cruises suit different people, and thankfully for the Cruise companies we all have different tastes. Nick.

Maybe if we'd seen David in Crooners we may have had a different opinion but certainly in Explorers he was hilarious.

Great to hear that David Moore is still on cruise ships. We saw him back in 2002, and again in 2005. Absolutely hilarious !

My wife and I took the Crown Princess cruise to Norway and the Arctic immediately before this one. I cannot believe that the staff changed so drastically and suddenly on 13th July. We were treated to wonderful staff with a great attitude, efficient and attentive service (yes, even in Club Fusion), always friendly and smiling, nothing was too much trouble. All in all, superb customer service.

We were on Crown in June and as usual we found the staff to be the most friendly and attentive of any of the many cruise lines we have used, which is probably one of the reasons we keep returning to Princess.

Tell me what is on your Bucket List

Over the last few years here at www.CRUISE.co.uk we have seen the cruise industry change massively. Gone are the days when a simple cruise will suffice, people are now wanting more from their cruise. We are seeing a steady rise in the requirements to do a land stay prior to the cruise (or after it in some cases). Not only that but people are wanting tours and particularly escorted tours that really give an essence of that region. Our most popular package of the last few years has undoubtedly been...

I’ve talked to a quite a few friends and family recently about cruising to see what they actually think it would be like and if they would do it, and there response has truly amazed me, the majority of answers were ‘oh god about 65-70’ i am far to young to go on a cruise!! i couldn’t believe my ears! WHAT??? i said this is the 21st century are you joking me, i cant believe there is still the stigma out there about cruising been for older guests. This is not the...

Many of you will have seen now that cruise ship Entertainer/Loose Women, Jane McDonald has got herself a TV Series shown about Cruising. Its a series of 4 programmes and each week she is looking at different types of cruising and going to share her expert tips and knowledge with the viewers.
