This River Danube cruise lived up to its 5star rating. The MV Mozart is a beautiful, traditionally furnished ship with the added bonus of an indoor swimming pool/spa with floor to ceiling windows where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery pass by as you swim or lounge on a recliner. A nice touch here is the help yourself fridge filled with free orange juice or mineral water and the 'ever full' fruit bowl sitting on top! My husband, who often has a massage, highly rated the masseuse on board. The daily trip, included in the holiday cost, was equally enjoyable and you were given bottled water each time you left the ship. Being a small vessel (200 passengers approx) with an open seating policy for dining you quickly got to know your travelling companions which was a big bonus for the single people on board who said they really felt part of the group. The standard of service, food (up to 10 courses if you could manage it!) and staff surpassed our expectations and the extra touches like tea and coffee available free of charge throughout the ship, the hot pasta dishes, and drinks served at 11pm on our return from a evening trip around Budapest and the Bavarian beer and traditional food tasting - all included, and more. The cabins are noticeably better furnished and bigger (especially the bathroom) than ocean cruise liners. Now for tipping - the one thing most people resent paying - but not on this cruise. Not one person I spoke to begrudged giving the recommended tips as all felt the quality and service received more than warranted it. Finally, this is the first time I had booked through cruise.co.uk and I found them very efficient and knowledgable. I will definately use them again.
