This was our first river cruise so we did not know quite whet to expect. What we got was a very well organised and highly enjoyable week that exceded all expectations. Having sailed with a number of cruise lines I would say that the MV Mozart and it's staff are up there with the best. The food was splendid and plentiful, the service was faultless. The excursions were well organised with very knowledgable guides and the scenery along the river was beautiful.
We were on the Dorabella deck and it was a bit of a novelty to see the water level was just below the window, which meant that effectively you were sleeping below the water line. The space available and the appointment of the cabin were on a par with if not better than most of the major cruise lines, with probably the best laid out bathroom that we have seen.
The small swimming pool and jacussi were nice and very clean. The sun deck was well laid out with a putting area and shuffleboard. There was also a shaded area for the non sun worshippers. Entertainment was really only provided on two nights, with the resident trio performing for the rest of the time. The entertainers, a singer and a duo fom the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, were excellent. Alan Titchmarsh was a fellow cruiser and did a couple of very interesting talks as well as a signing session and opportunities for photographs.
