This was our first riverboat cruise, made attractive by the onboard celebrity lecturer Alan Tichmarsh. We have travelled before on ocean liners of the Cunard fleet (QM2,Queen Victoria maiden world cruiseof 106 days) so this was a complement to sail across the centre of Europe from Germany to Hungary through Austria. The shore excursions were excellent and very instructive from local guides. Impressed by St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna and in Durnstein. The quality of waiter service was excellent, on a par with Cunard White star service and the cabin stewardess was efficient and discreeti n her timing and efficiency to maintain good quality cabin maintenance. Tried the jacussi and sauna facility on board also very good clean conditions. The administrative arrangements for travel were also excellent. Rgds, brian.thurston1@btinternet.com.

| On dorabella deck was surprised to see water level waist high outside window, while bottom of window ledge was chest high! It took a bit of getting used to particularly with the wash from passing river barges. | | Overall Rating | |
