P & O VENTURA CARIBBEAN CRUISE JAN 2012

Reviewed By: on
We have just returned from a Caribbean Cruise on P&O Ventura.
We have sailed with P&O before and once agin they proved to be excellent value for money and everything on board is priced in £ sterling so you know exactly what you have spent. Bar prices, wine in the dinning room is priced similar to your local pub!

We had a deluxe Balconly cabin which was very spacious, including a lounge area, full size bath, & a large balcony. Our steward was very efficient and nothing was too much trouble for him.

The entertainment was first class the Headliner Theatre Company were brilliant we went to all their shows. The guest comedian Peter Piper gave two memorable shows.

Overall the food on board was very good. The dinning room experience was excellent for both Dinner & Breakfast our waiters worked really hard and provided a first class service.
However we were disappointed with the self service Waterside food. At lunch there was limited choice for the main course. We cruised on the sister ship of the Ventura, the Azura last May in the Med. The food in the seelf service was much better. Could the Ventura be cutting back??

We must comment on our flights to and from Barbados. After checking in at Birmingham we did not see our suitcases until they were delivered to olur cabin later that evening. The same happened on the return flight. Excellent organisation troublefree, and stressfree!!
We upgraded to Premium and this was well worth the extra. Thompsons & P&O organised everything and will give them 10 out of 10.

We also met some great fellow passengers from all over the UK. And unlike Cunard ther is none of that first & second class divisions.

Once again we were very pleased with P&O and Anna Perrott at Cruise.co.uk certainly helped us and provided a first class service.
