We went on the Ventura to Barbados in November 2011 and it was everything we wanted it to be. The checking-in process was superb and it wasn't too long before our cases were brought to our cabin. We had a balcony cabin which was very very spacious indeed and having the balcony made all the difference. There is so much to do on board the ship that you are spoilt for choice and the evening entertainment was very good. We had second sitting at dinner which suited us very well. All in all a wonderful cruise.

Arthur Daley is still on this site then - I am surprised you don\'t ban him because he knows absolutely nothing - just puts comments on here which are only abusive to other people

BEWARE OF PETER. HE IS DECEPTIVE. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AN DISHONEST MAN, NOT CERTIFICATES OR JEWELRY. DEAL WITH PETER AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I would like to comment on this review, it was totally wrong. Peter the owner of Gemsland did in fact send me the Certificate of Authentication but this was not received for a very long time and in the meantime I wrote the above which was wrong of me. I have since been to another jeweller in the UK who tells me that I have a good buy. I am sorry Peter for writing the above and hope that Gemsland do really well in the future.

So you bought some diamonds in St Marten, then a UK diamond specialist told you that you paid a good price for them. So why are you upset with that ? Surely that's fine. But as you say you were told they were worth a lot more, can I assume you thought you were onto a nice little earner ?

No I didn't think I was on to a nice little earner, but I have bought jewellery in the caribbean before and when we have them valued at home they are worth almost three times as much as obviously you don't pay any duty out there! What our jeweller meant was we didn't pay a bad price as they would have cost about the same here! Does that explain it to you Mr. Daley??????????

Yes, that does explain it - you hoped to buy something for a 1/3 of it's real price. So, yes, you expected a nice little earner.

You took my comment completely wrong Arthur Daley as you call yourself!! I have now commented that I was totally wrong! Find yourself someone else to put down

We were caught buying a diamond ring in Aruba from Colombian Diamonds which were recommended by RCL. We wrote to them after having the diamond quality done in the UK on our return and they were not even the quality we had bought, which was a 5 diamond ring. However we returned the following year on another cruise and went back to the shop and the Manageress apologised as they said the rings had been wrongly labelled. However they agreed to give us our money back but we did buy another ring which cost us more and we then had problems with this one were the gold part went mis shaped, so we contacted them and sent the ring back as this time the gold part went misshaped and decided to have our money back which they did credit our card for the full amount and postage. We usually cruise on RCL and on our previous cruise with them we mentioned this to the jeweller on the cruise and hs said a lot of the rings and being made on the gold part is hollow and this tends to go misshaped. We have bought a lot of jewellery in Turkey and to date this is the best place to buy and you usually do get the quality and the certificates do arrive in the mail on your return home.
