Oriana was a comfortable ship, having previously cruised with Cunard (QE2 and QV), it was showing its age but was acceptable, it has now had a refit.
Food was of a good standard normally, but one night the menu read like a pub grub menu if you read between the lines, food was well presented with silver service, not plated service as the QV, went to Gary Rhodes and had an excellent dinner, pity P&O have chucked him over board!!!!, will Marco be better?.

The port of call were good. Split and Dubrovnic were very nice the weather during our trip in general was too hot to enjoy the time ashore.
Venice was very hot, we had got ourselves vaporetto ticket valid 36 hours to cover the over night stay, the first trip we were going to the Lido for sun and sand, we got to the Rialto, and got off too hot (and slow on the Grand Canal, walked to Saint Marks and got on vaporetti, the same one and we had been in a shop to buy a fan.
Second day went to Murano, spent the day there wonderful and not too busy, purchased some very nice presents, from a glass works not the shops by the side of the main canal.

We were annoyed with P&O that they did not tell us that they had a shuttle bus that ran to Thonchetto it was available for all but designated for disabled, we found on our return on the second day the staff operating it were bored as very little use was made as P & O sold £15.00 each was to St Marks launch tickets.

The first night we had a great time dancing to modern music in the Pacific Lounge and it was popular, that was the only night this was on so no modern music no dancing, the shows were generally OK, so the wife says but I would like better.

The cabin was well OK, we had booked Guarantee, and we were not disappointed.

Overall my wife and I had a good cruise. We will be cruising again with P&O in April, we will see if its a good cruise then... hope so.
