P&O Cruises - Oriana
P&O Oriana
P&O Oriana is a super cruise ship that's popular among all ages. With teak decks, a tiered stern and art deco interiors, this is a ten-deck ship that recalls the classic years of British cruising. Refurbished in 2006, the P&O Oriana now has more facilities for kids and can take 1975 passengers. Note, however, that, from November 2011, the Oriana will become an adults-only ship after a refit.
Outside on the P&O Oriana, there's loads of space for catching the sun and for swimming in the three outdoor pools. Al fresco dining is possible in the Pizzeria, Terrace Grill and the Conservatory. Bars and lounges abound. For children, there are bright themed play areas and a nursery.
Passenger capacity: 1,928 Year entered service: 1995 Beam (ship width): 105 feet Draught (ship depth): 27 feet Length: 856 feet Tonnage: 69,000 Crew: 800 Number of passenger decks: 10 Number of lifts: 10 Number of swimming pools: 3 Number of cabins: 909
Food, Cuisine & Dining
The P&O Oriana offers a 96-seat Oriana Rhodes restaurant inspired by Gary Rhodes. There are also two other restaurants - Peninsula and Oriental - while al-fresco dining is possible with the Pizzeria, the bistro-style Terrace Grill and the Conservatory. On the P&O Oriana, you can dine to suit your mood.
The P&O Oriana doesn't skimp on watering holes. There are a dozen bars on board, including the sporty Lord's Tavern, the Crow's Nest for pre-dinner drinks, and Tiffany's, for coffee and chocolate.
The P&O Oriana has formal, semi-formal and smart-casual evenings, with dress code set according to cruise length. Formal wear for ladies is a cocktail dress or ball gown. For men, it's a dinner jacket or tuxedo. Semi-formal means tailored trousers, smart separates or nice dress for ladies and a jacket and tie for their partners. Smart-casual translates to polo shirts and trousers for men and casual separates, dresses or smart jeans for ladies.
Onboard entertainment & activities
On-board the P&O Oriana, there's plenty to do in the shape of a theatre, nightclub, cinema, casino, shopping, plus a salon, spa and gym. P&O has even provided a wedding chapel on the Oriana for those wishing to tie the knot at sea.
Children are well catered for aboard the P&O Oriana, with an entertainment programme for 2-17 year olds that divides into four age groups. Activities are arranged each day by Reef Rangers, who make sure kids have a great time. Kids' play areas range from 'Peter Pans' and' Decibels' for younger ones to the 'Outer Space' teen area.
The P&O Oriana has loads of deck space, the chance to eat outdoors and plenty of bars and lounges.
Spa & Fitness facilities
There are plenty of options if you want to pamper yourself during your cruise. The spa includes: * 3 Pools * 5 Whirlpools * Fully Equipped Gym * Hair Salon
Cabins
The P&O Oriana comes with 914 cabins, 594 of which are outside. There are eight suites, 16 mini-suites and eight disabled cabins. The cabins on the Oriana are elegant and welcoming, while the suites are spectacular and come with butler. Other options are mini-suites and deluxe balcony cabins. As standard, you get a daily steward service, TV, radio, aircon and much more. Suites offer a walk-in dressing area, lounge, DVD player, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors leading to balcony with table, chairs and two recliners.

her. The crew were all

Food is the pits
