Having never cruised before, people were saying that,as first timers we were brave taking on a months cruise to start with. This worried us a little, but we needn,t have bothered,as we had a fantastic time.
We had a inside cabin which we found to be very comfortable, and the cabin boy was very helpful and couldn,t do enough for us to make us feel at ease,in fact all the crew would go out of their way to make sure that everything was just right,if it wasn,t they made sure it was put right. The food on Oceana was so good that we had keep strict control of ourselves, otherwise we would have walked on and rolled of!We were really spoilt for choice. The entertainment we found to be very good, but the theatre staff really need to sort the timing of the shows out to suit the dinner sittings,as 2nd sitting dinners seemed to miss out on some of the shows.
The only thing that we did not like, was the cost of the shore trips. This seemed way over priced for what you got in return. We are a little wiser now about the trips after getting advice from other passengers. That aside we had a wonderful time,so much so that we have booked to go on three more cruises. Two on Oceana and one on another cruise line.Looks like hotel holidays may be a thing of the past for us now.For anybody thats not done cruising before, its time to think about it.
