As first time cruisers having read a lot of reviews we were not sure what to expect. But wow! what an experience. The superlatives are not enough to describe it all. The service was perfect, can't remember when we met with such politeness.
Nothing seemed too much trouble, Dennis. our cabin steward, a master of efficient care and service with a smile at all times,
our waiters(had chosen club dining in the Adriatic Restaurant) were 200%(Xavier, Floriano and Pritam) and contributed to making the holiday a memorable and fun experience & a dietary rquirement was expertly and competently taken care of. We had chosen a table for six, a good choice, every evening was like a grat dinner party, not to mention the quality of the food! We knew the destination and scenery would be marvellous, the calm seas and perfect weather really ensured perfect picture postcard conditions. The outings were similarly awesome, the trip to the Brixdal Glacier fascinating and the
all day Mountain Panorama trip out of Geiranger was spectacular, Ian, the guide, added amazing bits of local colour, the lunch in Lom was great and the guided tour of the Stave Church excellent, full marks to the young guide, both for the historic details and superb command of English. When we saw reindeer on our way back the day was complete.
The entertainment on board was varied in choice, we really enjoyed the Headliners' shows, we saw them all, and the singer David Karl. The entertainment staff worked very hard, and we thought the "Sail away" parties huge fun. Wow !!!!!!!
