We were totally unsure what this was going to be like, never having cruised before. We have always done our own thing and enjoy the independance. However we could not fault this type of holiday. Despite there being some 2000 people on board, we never felt crowded. The cabin, with a balcony, was superb and the steward was excellent. Meals were superb and we enjoyed the flexible dining option. Excursions were good but mainly did our own thing. It was wonderful getting away at this of year, in fact so good, we have booked to go away again in Jan'10.
Quality of Food5
Freedom Dining. Mainly ate in the main dining room and as a change went to the buffet option where they would put on theme meals (Italian, Indian etc)
Entertainment5
Saw every performance of the dance troupe. They were excellent
Shore Excursions4
A variety of excursions. Went on 3. Mostly did our own thing, which was much cheaper
Staff5
Cabin Steward (Francis). Nothing was too much and the room was always immaculate
Children's Facilitiesn/a
Onboard Activities4
Cabins5
The balcony we felt was a must
