My husband and I have just returned from a cruise on Oceana to the Norwegian Fjords. What a lovely experience. Captain Wells is a lovely commander with a marvellous sense of humour and a personality that instils absolute confidence.
The sea was a little choppy on the journey to Norway but he and his staff handled it beautifully.
Victoria Travel had arranged just what I wanted and our cabin was midships and balcony.
The food was good , some days better than others but always something to enjoy.
The service was superb and all staff except one trip organiser on the ship were charming and friendly.
If you have a companion with physical disabilities do check that they are being cared for when trying to get on a day trip. We were missed off the usual list of those they assist and it made it hard going.
The entertainment was really good and there was not one mistake on our account at the end of the voyage.
The scenery is lovely and most of the passengers on board were friendly.
Do try this cruise - I can recommend it.
The sail away party from Bergen was something else!! really ace.

I am 66 and hope I live to be 106 and able to continue cruising.
Well done, Oceania and Captain Wells.
One final word. The children on board, were polite, well behaved and did not in any way detract from the enjoyment of the cruise. In fact I think it made for a more relaxed atmosphere.
