We've just returned from a fabulous second cruise on Azura to the Norwegian Fjords. The weather was amazing, a little unexpectedly so, we just didn't know what to pack! The ship was full as it was half term, with over four hundred children on board, but it rarely felt crowded, I don't mind a little queue when I'm on holiday with plenty of time.

The food in the restaurants and buffet was good. We opted for freedom dining for the flexibility. Service in the restaurants was a little slower than I remembered before, but the waiters are particularly friendly to the children. We all really enjoyed having breakfast each morning in the restaurant rather than the buffet, it's just easier when you have several small children.

All the children enjoyed their clubs, even if they only went for an hour or so a day, it's something different to keep them entertained. There was only one occasion when it was full and we just had to wait five minutes for another member of staff to come on duty before we could leave them.

Headliners Theatre company are great as always. The afternoon show by Damon Scott wasn't particularly suitable for children due to some of his material. We enjoyed the cookery demonstration and galley tour and also watched some of the films on the big screen, which we recent releases.

All the ports of call were at a berth which made it really easy to get on and off the ship, just one coach transfer of five minutes or so at Bergen which was well organised. It was easy to organise and pay for your own tours at each destination. Sightseeing coaches were waiting for tourists by the ship at Olden and in the town centre of Bergen.

We had an outside cabin for four, clean and functional with a friendly steward. You spend little time there really so it was suitable for purpose i.e. sleeping, resting and changing!

It's such a great holiday for families with so much to do, we've already booked for next year. Value for money wise I think it is hard to beat!

Great Review - thanks. Yes - they are good value especially for families. We are booked on Azura next year and have sailed several times on Ventura and Oceana (but not Azura) so can't wait!

I have to disagree with you with regards to a fab family cruise. We sailed on this ship at the end of April A310n and apart from the kids clubs (which were fantastic). There was nothing available for us as a family. We were unable to spend time any time together as a family. Sea screen showed inappropriate films rated 13 , no family entertainment in the evening or daytime. All activities were advertised as adult only. The only way to entertain the children was to put them in kids club the whole time. Got the impression from p&o that children should be seen and not heard. P&O still refusing to give me a definition of family friendly !
