Recently refurbished, the 24 year old Artemis is a comparatively small, child free ship. P&O have cruising down to a fine art from embarkation to disembarkation and still provide a 'British' cruise experience which is most appealing.
Food excellent, entertainment varied and good with the 'Sixties Music' show being a personal highlight. This was a 'theme' cruise, the subject being Art and Architecture - talks by P&O's resident speaker Ron Gatepain were in fact, for me, far better than those by the guest speaker (a TV presenter). Art classes were not well organised and although it's in the small print, it's a niggle that you have to pay extra for a few bits of paper and brushes.
Some interesting ports of call and overall an excellent cruise.
Quality of Food5
Coral restaurant - very good Late night buffets - ignored as you end up eating just too much food!
Entertainment4
Sixties theme night - excellent Music from the shows - not my cup of tea
Shore Excursions3
Stockholm - just beautiful/don't miss the Vasa Museum (preserved ship which make Mary Rose look like a pile of matchsticks!) Gothenburg - nice send of from the band but not a lot there
Staff5
Manager of Conservatory Restaurant (Sergio Luis 'Charlie'). He made sure everything was just right!
