We really enjoyed this cruise despite mixed weather. P&O were really efficient, food was good. Service, entertainment etc were all excellent. This cruise included a classical music festival on board, and we really enjoyed it. The quality of the musicians was as good as you would find anywhere. When weather did not permit landing by tender on an island, the crew arranged a stop in Gothenburg the next day. They even arrranged tours and a shuttle, and all at one day's notice.
We did the evening visit to the Hermitage in St Petersburg, and it was well worth the extra money. We liked the ship and the cabin was what you would expect.
Quality of Food4
We only had the main meals, which were all good. You could eat all day if you wanted to.
Entertainment5
The music festival was outstanding. The dance/ singing shows were superb.
Shore Excursions4
Best was Hermitage. Otherwise we only did the palaces in St Peterdburg. Did our own thing in other places.
