A PS, the ratings disappeared on me. My staff rating should be 5, only one sour female in Andersons; Sedrick and Mike superb drinks waiters, third officer Graham a great host at the welcome party and tender ships. ENTERTAINMENT should be 3 stars. Most of the Adoina Threate shows good except Tuxedo Junction, though the veteran production singer seemed to hog most of the best songs and as ever too much dated material on P O. Enjoyed the afternoon play, the radio show, Lord David Steel, Lynsey Ssimon and the comedian whose name I have forgotten. The classical pianists six recitals were generally very poorly attended.

We were on same cruise and totally agree with your comments and ratings. We are currently writing a review as I type and its becoming more like an essay with the numerous issues and niggles we had with this cruise. Just wait for the P&O faithful to abuse our comments, cruises with P&O every year for last five years (and 10 times overall) and amazed the P&O faithful still criticise, they just dont know any better, such as Princess!!

I agree too, and normally like P O. Both Adonia and Thomsons never again and P O entertainment note - Guys and Dolls circa 1950 is way out of date.

Loved Adonia but sad at missing the Venice sail in, Hvar and Santorini. Hated the Thompson flights in dirty, outdated aircraft with no space for our hand luggage which we had to place by our feet (illegal?). Will never use Thompson again - even Easy-jet is better. 20kg luggage allowance was a joke for a 2 week cruise - my first Carribean cruise in the 1990s gave 30kg each and 10kg hand baggage - almost too much.

Princess to take over Europe in 2019!

By Tom Harding

Princess Cruises are set to fall upon the UK Market in 2019 with a record breaking year as they base, not one, not two but three ships in Southampton and that accounts to more than 1 million sailing nights from Southampton and Dover. They will base the Crown Princess and surprisingly enough the Sapphire Princess as we had been lead to believe 2018 would be the only year shed sail from the UK Well it isnt and she will be back from the Far East for 2019 and they will also have the Pacific Prin...

My aim in life is to go on cruises- Ive never done one! I cant believe Im doing this, stated Ms Burrell whilst Mr Mason made it clear: Im not forward but I grasped the opportunity. The power of cruises has just been proven after a 91-year-old man booked a 3,500 cruise holiday for himself and a stranger within minutes of meeting in a pub.John Mason, from Bishops Waltham, Hampshire, met Vera Burrell, 90, from Sudbury, Suffolk, when she stopped for lunch on a coach trip. After expressing his worr...

What Is A Free Upgrade?

By Lesley Millward

Lesley Millward's blog

I think we all secretly hope that we will one day, get an upgrade, one way or another. It would be even better if it was free, but lets face it anything that says “free” isn’t really is it?One of the cruise lines who ask if you would like a free upgrade is P&O. When booking you probably get asked “if there was a free upgrade would you be happy to have it,” of course anyone in their right mind would not turn down a free upgrade would they? So, let me start by ...
