We had the Oceana experience two summers ago and still hold very fond memories of the cruise ship, wondering when we can next travel with them.
From first arriving at the ship, we knew we were in for something special. the ship had an elegant and old fashioned feel about it, everything was in pristine condition.
We had a stateroom which was very spacious and comfortable and was kept beautifully clean.
The staff were amazing, friendly and so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was wonderful, especially the two specialist dining rooms. We also liked the seating arrangments whereby each night you could choose to have company or not.
For us the entertainment was a little old -fashioned , but later there was the disco where the Dj did his best to create a party atmosphere. The assistant director at the time was so people friendly and excelled in encouraging people to enjoy his events.
The ports of call were excellent. We thought the drinks and shade while waiting for the tender, was a nice touch.
We should have arranged to stay over in Rome overnight at the end of the cruise, as some people did. Our fights were in the evening, so we went by train and had a quick tour.
We felt sorry to leave the ship, as it had been a very good holiday. We do travel a lot and when we cruise again it will certainly be with Oceana.

Quality of Food5
We ate in the grand dining room and the two specialist restaraunts at dinner. At breakfast and lunch outside on deck for the buffet option.
Entertainment2
The entertainment was quite old fashioned for our taste, especially the puppets. I think we only watched what was on offer some nights because there wasn't an alternative.
Shore Excursions5
The range of trips on offer was very good and the help given if you wanted to go it alone was excellent. We had been to some of the places before so we made are own arrangements.
Staff4
The assistant director was very impressive. The wine waiters had a very good knowledge of the selection of wine on offer. The man making the omelettes at breakfast was exceptional. Unfortunately no names can be remembered.

Cabins5
Excellent space and facilities, with everything kept exceptionally clean.
