I went on the NCL Sky in december last year as i was in the miami area and fancied doing something a bit different, as soon as my wife and i arrived on board we were greeted by extremely friendly staff with champagne ( i believe this is one of the many improvements on the freestyle 2.0 inc a revised menu and bedding) i hadnt sailed ncl before so i didnt have anything to compare it to but i can honestly say that all food and service on board was second to none, we were in a balcony stateroom which was very spacious and comfortable, so nice in fact that on one of the days when the weather wasn't so good we spent the whole day loungeing around, watching movies and ordering room service. Every morning we went down to one of the main dining rooms for breakfast which was reserved for balcony staterooms and above, this was great and rather than a buffett service we were waited on hand and foot and the choice for breakfast was excellent, i particulay enjoyed the eggs benedict. Staff were all very pleasent and eager to please and we even got friendly with some of the entertainment staff when we went on a ship organised pub crawl. If i was to rate this i would give it a ten out of ten as it completely exceeded my expectations and value for money was fantastic, i would definately reccomend ncl to all my friends and as i live in europe i have booked a 7 day med cruise on the jade to experience what the new class of ships have to offer. All in all it was an unexpected treat and i am counting down the days until we step aboard again.
