We were handed a letter at Dover advising that 5% of people had been ill on previous sailing, offered option to credit for another cruise if wished. Probably accounted for difficulties with embarkation, cabins not ready and not being able to go to cabins until after life boat drill (apart from picking up life jackets). Also bun fights at breakfast in the buffet - too many people. Garden cafe was excellent, along with Tzars Palace. 1st time cruising with NCL. Casino, photos at evey port, art sales etc all aim to take as much money as they can. Not been on such a large ship before (600-800 guests on previous cruises). Shore excursions expensive, only went on ship tours in Talinn (walking tour) excellent Guide and interesting visit and St Petersburg, beautiful but busy. Easy to find your own way in other cities. Disappointed with short time in Stockholm, would have liked longer and the berth was outside of the City - there is another berth in the middle of the town, which would have been much more pleasant and convenient. The local tour bus took too many passengers into the town to get them all back comfortably and easily, causing some upset with those trying to get back for the 1530 sailing. Good to see all the small islands off Stockholm. Warnemunde good, pleasant to walk around and worth a trip into Rostock. We didn't attempt Berlin as it is cheaper to fly there for a weekend for us than the cost of the shore excursion for a short time. Cruise overall very enjoyable and good experience. Disappointed at cover charge on some restaurants - however excellent help with my special diet (coeliacs) restaurant, bar and cabin staff very attentive and very helpful. Would recommend this to anyone who has coeliacs disease, just advise them on booking and phone up NCL before sailing, who advise you to speak to the Food & Beverages Manager on boarding the ship. Well done all the staff.
