just back from mini cruise with ncl on the jade. we recently cruised with holland america but we found the jades crew were much more attentive and the ambience on board was more superier. the food in the grand pacific and alizar was good with a varied choice on the menu, both of the restaurants had a good atmosphere although this was somewhat spoiled by very loud groups who obviously had no respect for anyone else, the staff coped very well and worked very hard. we had an inside stateroom which had plenty of storage and the room steward was attentive. as always with a mini cruise you do tend to get hen and stag parties and groups of women and groups of men that like to drink alot so the swearing can be a little unsettleing. overall a great weekend on our second trip on the jade,we would certainly do it all over again.

Yes i think you have it spot on as a frequent mini cruiser with NCL it was a shame that the larger groups did spoil it a little as we are a family with children. Saying that family wise its the first time we have been told that we were required to pay an hourly charge for the kids club during certain periods of the cruise, P&O never charge for example whilst the ship docked in port. We had a great time drinks are still expensive and no chocolates on the pillows any more apart from that great.

Hi There were choclates in our cabin. As to the Mini cruise thats it for the Jade in the UK - what a pity but maybe 2011 will see her back.
