Just returned from NCL EPIC one of the worse wonders of the world.
Waited 2 hours at Miami for check in (5600 passengers on that cruise)
Suitcases arrived at 8.30 PM that evening.
Cabins were so small only one person at a time could pass through.
Shower in one corner, toilet in another and wash hand basin was a little toy
that splashed water all over the bed when used. Had to fight to get near the buffet stations,
then had to look for at least 10 minutes
for somewhere to sit and eat it. Deck chairs were available if you woke up at 5 a.m. and reserved them.
as for the shows, 2 shows were "complimentary" if you booked in advance and one show was chargable.
All other ships have a lovely show after or before dinner absolutely free of charge.
$12 per person per day was added to the onboard account which made the cabin stewards nonexistent
if you needed them. Room service took over an hour. NCL EPIC never again.

I back up what has been said above. I can not find a review to be honest when bear facts are wrong. The Epic has a double occupancy of 4100 with an absolute maximum (With every bed filled) of just over 5000. There is only ONE show onboard that is charged for, Cirque Dreams, and for free you get Blue Man Group, Legends, Howl at the Moon, Second City (Three Different Shows), Slam Allen, a Comedy Magician whose name I can't remember, A Motwon Revue plus all of the live music and theme parties. The Epic is clearly a Marmite ship. Reviews tend to be one star or five star. Just because you don't like something, doesn't make it bad. Life is not a "One size fits all" deal. If I stay at a hotel or resort, travel with an airline, buy a car or whatever, I do my research beforehand and have an expectation. If my research makes me think that I won't like something, I don't go. If you want the teak promenade decks, shuffleboard, afternoon tea and formal night dress up, don't go on the Epic. It doesn't promote itself as that kind of ship.

Somewhat of an exaggeration. Passenger capacity on Epic is 4100, so not sure where you have identified that there was 5600 on your cruise. Inside cabin is not that small, and the sink is nowhere near the bed so unless you put on the top full blast purposefully, it would be very hard to get "water all over the bed". More shows that you record are complimentary, it is just obvious that you didn't book them. We had a lovely cabin steward and never once had any difficulty getting a sunbed, just not necessarily by the pool. I don't mind negative reviews, what I do mind is unfair ones. Try and be a little more fair - there must have been something positive.

Just forthe record with children the Epic will (as it was last summer) be mnear 4900. Other websites have confirmed this.

I would agree with Smith we have sailed on the Epic & didn't have a problem with the cabin at all also check in at Barcelona was the best we have ever had simply turned up & walked on. Hardly think you can blame NCL for the check in system at Miami (we have also waited in various little waiting areas for some time at the Miami cruise Port)
