My husband, daughter, and grand-daughter, went on a 14night cruise around the caribbean in January, on MSC Posesia, we have been on many cruises, and thought this was probably the worst. The ship was fabulous, but the food, was very very poor, as was the entertainment, the staff couldn't care less, and the three of them ended up being very ill, 3 days each, one after the other, and my husband lost 4kgs, on this trip, however, we had unfortunatley, booked another MSC cruise, before we went on this one, for May 2010, from South America to Dover, and this was just as bad, 2 days into the cruise, the crew decided to change from gratuities to a service charge,(didn't think you could do this),however, the decided that as most of the ship were Brazilians, they could pay USD6, and the rest of us USD9, I can tell you that the ship was in uproar, there were literally hundreds of passengers complaining about this, however, after nearly the whole of the cruise which was 18 nights, they decided that all of us could pay the USD6, we got to Dover, and there were 250 of us getting off there, the rest were taking excursions, which was well over 1000, and they wouldn't let us off, although we all had further arrangements,in getting to our destination, also the baggage didn't come off, till we'd been on the quay for at least 15minutes.We think that they should stick to Container shipping, and leave the cruising to Royal CAribbean,Celebrity, P & O etc.,Both the ships we were on had many discontented passengers,Not many happy chappies?
