We had read so many adverse reviews about MSC Cruises that we were very pleasantly surprised with our cruise. From the moment that we were met at Heathrow by a cruise rep who helped us check in everything went smoothly. You could not fault the ship for cleanliness. Our cabin was lovely and always immaculate.
You have to bear with the announcements in 5 languages, but it is not a problem.
The food was much better than reviews had warned. It did get crowded in the self service restaurants at lunch time, but we never failed to get a seat.
The only criticism would be on the excursion to Istanbul. We did not want the carpet factory & jewellery hard sell and would have prefered much longer at the Topkapi Palace instead.

Totally agree, did the same cruise in Sept no major complaints from myself or my wife. We hired a taxi in Istanbul which was better & cheaper than doing the organised tour.
