Fab Ship Shame About The Entertainment. by Walton, Leeds

Unless things have changed since I was last on MSC,( last year) and the MSC menus were published on this site at the weekend then the main dining room offers 7 courses for both lunch and dinner and one of those courses is alweays a choice of pastas. There is no pasta on the other 6 courses. The entertainment on the 2 MSC cruises I have been on was excellent with a wide range of cirque du soleil type acts in the theatre and an excellent variety of music around the ship.

We were on the Poesia in December 2011, not sure if the writter of the review went to all the shows, they were great full of variety, have to agree about the staff especially in the bars they were 1st class and you always got some nibbles with your drink, never had this on any other cruise.

Queen Mary 2 did not disappoint

    By Neil Holmes

I have just returned from a four night mini cruise on Cunard’s Queen Mary 2. The ship has just been remastered, which is a posh word for a refit. However Cunard have spent 90 million on the re fit. We were able to see some of the changes however as the ship was full with guests so we could not look in the new single cabins of which 15 are brand new on the ship. There are also 30 new Britannia club cabins and the Grills staterooms have had a complete change with new interiors, carpets...

I remember when I was 15 years old being called into the careers office at school and asked where I saw my career heading in the future. I had two things in mind, the first was being an archaeologist (I had always been really interested in history) as this also seemed a good way to see the world fulfilling my second choice of the Travel Industry. The years pass and having a family takes over your priorities, but I always have managed to keep my hand in the world of travel. For those readers ...

Is it just me or are all the ships being launched getting bigger and bigger! It certainly seems that way as P&O announce plans for 2020 for a huge 180 000 ton ship to join their fleet. The new ship will carry over 5000 passengers….the largest ever built for P&O and the British market. They are promising more choice than ever when it comes to dining, cabins, entertainment, itineraries and have said they have listened to passenger feedback and this is what they want. It seems after...
