Not Impressed

Cruise Line: MSC Cruises Times cruised before: 1-2
Cruise Ship: MSC Orchestra Sailed: November, 2009
Destination: Caribbean Age: 56-65
Cabin: Inside
Most ship personnel cannot understand or speak simple english. The menu in the deck 13 cafeteria was same basic menu 7 days straight. A room service tray placed in the hallway at 3 am was still laying outside my cabin 60987 at 9 am. I am a non smoker and had a hard time breathing in most of the public restrooms, halls and elevators where passengers were smoking. Cleaning supplies
were left in the hallways 24 hours a day. Laundry carts with dirty laundry left in the halls 24 hours a day. Repeditive menu. Rooms were small and not kept up well. Onboard activities were great. We shoped in key west and Cozumel, visited the beach at Georgetown and Cayo Leventado - loved every minute of shore time. Highly recommend destinations, but warn of disappointing time onboard. Would NOT recommend this ship or MSC line judging by my time onboard.

what a terrible review for msc and the orchestra. we have travelled on msc before on opera and musica and no such problems. and we were thinking of the orchestra for next october but this puts me off. i dont mind the language barrier as can get by in most european languages but the ship sounds unkempt, dirty and plain awful. must do more research before i decide on next oct. judith

We sailed on MSC Orchestra to the norwegian fjords in the summer of 2009 and found it extremely clean. The staff always very helpful and smiling, the waiters very polite. We like italian food and had almost all our meals in the restaurant, where we enjoyed the great choice of food.

We sailed on the Orchestra in September and found the ship to be spotless as all MSC ships are. Don't let this review put you off.

I thought Orchestra was in Brazil. Maybe the Poesia was in Ft Lauderdale but its engraved on the bow.
