Having recently returned from a Baltic cruise on board MSC Opera, I can’t stress enough what a fabulous time we have had.
From the moment we stepped on board and was escorted to our cabins by a member of staff, life couldn’t have been easier. The ship itself was amazing, bigger than I had anticipated and spotlessly clean. The staff were so friendly and polite at all times and nothing was too much trouble. The cabin was adequately sized for a family of four with amble room to move around. The kids beds were drop down bunks which were ‘packed away’ by staff as soon as we left the cabin for breakfast and set out at 8pm each night when staff turned down the beds. There were several bars and lounges with entertainment including a lounge specifically for smokers. The evening show in the theatre was amazing with a variety of acts including dancers, jugglers, acrobat, magicians and singers. You could eat all day with breakfast available from 7-11 lunch 12-3, afternoon tea 4-5 and dinner from 6.30 with midnight snacks available too. Excellent standard and choice of food, dinner was 7 courses! The restaurant staff were superbly efficient and friendly. Prices for bar drinks averaged Euro 2.70 for a small beer, coke or fruit juice, although tea, coffee and water was available free at any time. Trips were a little pricey but we discovered that with the exception of St Petersburg, it was easy enough to ‘do your own thing’ which cut down on cost quite dramatically. All in all, an excellent holiday, would seriously recommend it and thank you to Louise at Cruise for helping with the booking!

| Quality of Food | |
| Quality was superb, ate too much as it was all delicious. Buffet breakfast and lunch but waiter service dinner. | | Entertainment | |
| All entertainment was good, acrobats and magician were excellent and female opera singer made your ears ring, her voice was too powerful for a small theatre but quite fantastic. | | Shore Excursions | |
| Only booked 2 trips, rostock was good and St petersburg was my favorite. Remaining places we did our own thing which was just as easy and much cheaper option. | | Staff | |
| The chap who cleaned the cabin, (sorry didn't get his name) was very efficient and friendly and our waiters Juni and Said were fantastic. | | Children's Facilities | |
| My children did not join in the clubs through choice. there seemed to be lots available for up to 12years but a bit more limited for 12 - 16 age group | | Onboard Activities | |
| Activities were available if you wanted to join in but no pressure to do so. Quizes, dance lessons, table football and table tennis contests as well as Bingo! | | Cabins | |
| Plenty of space for a family of 4, 2 fold away bunks and a shower/bathroom. Plenty of cupboard space and the cases fitted under the beds out of the way. Outside cabin with large window, so excellent views. | | Overall Rating | |
