MSC Cruises Reviews

We are due out on this boat in July to the Baltic. Found the information regarding the water (or lack of it) very useful. How bizarre that the company rations water (a necessity for life after all). Hooray though that we won't be having roast beef and yorkshire pud; it's an italian line and will be looking to them for their national dishes.

We have recently returned from cruise around Eastern Med on MSC Magnifica. The balcony cabin was clean and comfortable apart from having an interconnecting door which caused the passengers in the next cabin to be heard quite clearly. The ship's decor was elegant and and the shows were quite impressive. The food choice was limited and not that enjoyable with no coffee or water available unless paid for. Comparing this cruise with other cruise lines we have travelled with, we found it a little disappointing. Also we noticed that passengers were not being encouraged to sanitize their hands on entering the dining areas.

its true the continentals dont have an obsession with tea and coffee all day long and that is why these ships dont offer it. lots of italians though do have coffee after dinner so wonder why costa and msc dont do it. but the rest of the cruise seemed good - chalk one up for msc. we went on the opera last year to the fjords and enjoyed every minute, though i admit i dont ever drink tea or coffee and my hubby just has one cup of tea with breakfast.

The thing is, this is an Italian cruise line with Italian styling. Italians don't have the British obsession with frequent hot beverages and don't really understand it. Your comments about a 'British' theme night left me puzzled - British food is rather dull and I can't imagine expecting to see it on a foreign ship's menu.
