this was our first cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Only a few drawbacks: cabin, bathroom and storage space on the small side however always very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Catering was plentiful and varied. Choice of a la carte in the restaurant and self service. Tea, coffee and water available all day. We found the other drinks quite expensive but there were lots of bars to choose from to relax. Waiters very friendly and aiming to please. All catering facilities very children friendly. Very good children club. Shows were average as theywere catered for an international audience speaking different languages. We did not go on excursions awhich were quite expensive as preferred to explore areas ourselves. Overall very good experience, very friendly staff who seemed to clean 24/7!

Question by Brueton, TIVIDALE (30 Jun 09 18:28) about this REVIEW
Hi, I hope you don't mind but this is the first MSC review I've seen that mentions the children's facilities. I'm travelling aboard Lirica to the Baltics in August with my mother and 6 year old daughter. Could you tell me what sort of children's entertainment I can expect and for how long in the day? I've travelled with Cunard who provide nearly 24 hour facilities but also cruised with Fred Olsen who offered none!
