MSC Cruises - MSC Armonia
MSC Armonia
When the MSC Armonia was built in 2001, it was for the Festival Cruise line and was called the European Vision. In 2004, it was acquired by MSC Cruises and its name was changed. At the same time, it went through a significant refurbishment, which resulted in a vessel designed to provide a social and relaxing atmosphere.
The liner has a high passenger-to-space ratio, making it not only a comfortable place to spend a holiday, but also a spacious one. In addition, its high crew-to-passenger ratio means that you'll be sure to enjoy fabulous service throughout your voyage.
Cruises on the Armonia generally cover destinations in the Mediterranean and popular ports of call include Venice, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Athens, Santorini and Kotor.

Food, cuisine and dining
There are four restaurants on the Armonia, giving passengers a range of options to choose from. The largest is the Marco Polo, which has space for more than 600 guests. Breakfast and lunch are served on an open-seating basis and the menus are fairly standard, with a selection of hot and cold options.
Meanwhile, dinner is provided in two set services and is a multiple-course event with a number of gourmet items on the menu.
Other options include La Pergola - a formal venue specialising in Italian fare - as well as Chez Claude, a grill that serves items like burgers and pizzas. There's also La Brasserie, a large buffet that's open 24 hours a day.
If you're looking or a snack or hot drink, you may also opt for Cafe San Marco, which serves specialty coffees and delicious pastries.
On-board entertainment and activities
There are eight themed bars on the Armonia, ensuring that there is an atmosphere that every passenger is sure to enjoy during their voyage.
One of the most popular among passengers from the UK is the White Lion Pub. This is a classic British-style public house with wood panelling on the walls and plenty of comfortable chairs. There's even a stylish fireplace and tartan carpeting. It's an ideal location to enjoy a pint and spend some time with your fellow travellers.
The La Gondola Theatre is the main show venue. It's two decks high and plays host to entertainment like cabaret and Las Vegas style revues. Live music and dancing are also available in other locations throughout the ship.
In addition, there's a library, video games room and casino. Passengers can also enjoy various lectures and demonstrations as part of the on-board enrichment programme.
Spas and fitness facilities
If you're looking for the ultimate in relaxation, then a visit to the Atlantic Spa is a must. Guests can choose from a number of professional treatments like body wraps and massages, or simply indulge in the tranquillity of the sauna, thalassotherapy pool or aromatherapy steam room.
There's also a large gym that's equipped with cardiovascular and weight machines and exercise classes are offered regularly. The vessel is also home to a climbing wall, a multi-sports court and a miniature golf course. You could also go for a swim or make use of the jogging track.
Cabins
Whether you're looking for cruise deals or luxurious accommodation, the Armonia is likely to have an accommodation option to suit your specific requirements. There are 11 types of rooms and the price of each cabin will depend on how big it is, where it's located and the types of amenities included.
The most spacious rooms are the suites. They include large lounges, loads of storage space and private balconies and guests are provided with fluffy bathrobes. In contrast, the lowest-priced rooms are the interior cabins that have no views, and measure around 140 square feet.
All rooms include televisions and en-suite bathrooms, as well as mini bars, personal safes and vanity/desk units.
