Final voyage of the GREAT ISLAND STAR

Cruise Line: Island Cruises Times cruised before: 1-2
Cruise Ship: Island Star Sailed: March, 2009
Destination: Caribbean Age: 56-65
Cabin: Outside Occasion: Wedding anniversary
The cabin was more roomy than the one we had (inside) on Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the seas. The meals (especially
breakfast) was better-more choice of food-and plenty of it!!There was one drinks waiter called Lyndo who was very popular
because of his relaxed Caribbean attitude towards everyone and always had a smile - no matter what time of day or night.
The alcoholic drinks were almost the same price as in a pub in England and each afternoon around 4.00pm they would serve two for the price of one cocktails (very nice). The cabin was spotless and always clean as were the restaurants and cafes (always disinfected your hands before entering). The entertainment was alright - quiz night each night.bingoand the live theatre was o.k.The trips were not too pricey and well thought out - the best one for me and my wife was on St.Lucia
on the catamaran from Castries to the Pitons with refreshments included. It is just a shame that the Island Star has been taken over by another cruise line to cruise from Mexico to South America.
