Returned from a fantastic cruise around the Canaries, the weather was fantasic average temp.30 deg, fourth time on the Island escape & I knew what to expect, sadly I noticed they have cut down on certain foods, I missed my fresh pineapple for breakfast instead there was tin pineapple not quite the same. Breakfast was still as good as ever, lunch was a bit basic & dinner great, puddings & afternoon teas seemed to be a bit poor not how it use to be. I still had a great time staff very friendly & helpfull. Entertainment staff always put on the best shows so much better than the Royal Carribean ships. Yes the cabins have seen better days beds very lumpy, hope the £4 million there going to spend on the ship is on the cabins.
Did the cycle tours to burn off some of those one too many cakes which is great way to see the island & get a chance to have a coffee. I know there has been some bad press about island escape & I hope after the refit that she will shine again... I did have the cabin from hell so I understand why so many people have complained, I think I will sail on her again maybe in a few years. I must not forget the Spa Sian was fantasic great massage & taught my partner & I some massages which we have been practising....
