From San Paulo, we boarded the cruise ship Island Escape. Having mainly gone on formal cruises before, we did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly suprised. The cabin was airy and quite spacious, with plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, which is a premium on most cruise ships these days, expecially for two women! We found the ship very clean, in fact one if the few negative comments we have, is that the cleaning staff were constantly mopping the decks which made it quite slippy and dangerous to walk on. The food was varied and plentiful and the staff bent over backwards to help you. We only went on two excursions, we did the rest by ourselves The customers on board were friendly and chatty and wer found the whole cruise very enjoyable and relaxing. We would certainly travel with Island Cruises again ( sorry it is being taken over by Thomsons during the latter half of this year!) again.
