Last year we had a very enjoyable cruise with Hurtigruten along the coast of Norway. Hurtigruten who's ships have, for over a century, travelled the coast carrying mail, supplies and passengers, and providing a vital link to remote communities. Though their ships cannot be descibed as cruise liners they do offer comfortable accommodation to their passangers with excellant dining facilities. They do not provide entertainment claiming this can be seen through the windows of the ship ie the beautiful coast of Norway.
Quality of Food
Excellant though minimal choice. Fish / steak
Entertainment
Formal entertainment was not provided, and was not missed. As the cruise was in 24 hour daylight we were happy admiring the beautiful Norwegian coast line.
Shore Excursions
The best shore excursion was to the Loferton Islands. The least favourite was Trondiem.
Staff
The Captain by steering the ship safely in and out of the many narrow passages we visited.
Children's Facilities
Childrens facilities where not provided on the ship.
Onboard Activities
Onboard activities where not provided as these cruises are for people wanting to view the scenery.
