The stretching of The Braemar appears to have created some major problems which need to be sorted out fast. this was our 3rd time on board and it appeared to have problems from the start. Parts for the air con not arriving in Gibbraltar ment the ship had to sail back to Spain to collect parts. deck 2 inside had a flood with our selves and another cabin having to be moved after spending the night in a wet cabin with blankets soaking up the water. Next day we were moved to deck 6, lovely cabin outside. Sadly next morning we woke to flip flops floating around the cabin and 12 cabins were flooded this time. Apparently a valve was not working and the swimming pool sent the water to these cabins. Deck 2 where we had started had no air con for most of the trip and some people had resorted to sleeping in the public lounges when the heat was at it's worst. Did it spoil our cruise, no the staff as always are best to none, happy and hard working they make your cruise. But we were disapointed and after the 2ed flood quite stressed. Will we go on the Braemar again but, not for a long time. I hope these problems are sorted fast The Braemar is a lovely ship and the places we visited beautiful and all tours we took were value for money and hassle free. We now look forward to sailing on the Black Prince next year before she is retired and fingers crossed it's problem free.

I am on Main Deck. Sailing 11th December. Did any of these cabins get flooded? First time for me with Fred Olsen after cruising 30 years with P & O. Now having second thoughts!

Is this trouble deliberately being kept quite - surely you got compensation ?

I'm suprised these problems haven't been sorted. We had problems with the air conditioning back in July and the swimming pool leaked onto deck 6 with some passengers being flown home. This is very worrying!
