Just back from our first cruise. Balcony suite excellent - appreciated extras. Crew friendly and attentive. Food mediocre - we didn't have any hot food as plates were always cold. Thistle restaurant poor. Palm cafe offered better fare especially breakfast - we gave up on Thistle where vegetarian food was very poor. Loved the Observatory bar where one of the highlights of then trip was seeing the moon rise as a great orange ball over the horizon as we cruised to Honfleur. We didn't realise that we needed to take hand luggage to take off overnight gear as suitcases were collected the night before. Luckily we had taken an "overflow case" Lunch before we sailed offered to suite customers was especially poor - cold, congealed food with passengers herded to shared tables - we hoped this didn't show the standard for the trip. Overall - great suite, good service, enjoyed the Observatory Bar with piano, enjoyed the Lido Bar whilst in port in St. Peter Port, thought the food was poor - offered a cornish pastry as a main dish on formal night ! We will not repeat this but would be happy to hear from others on this cruise who hav eother opinions.
Quality of Food
Ate mostly in Palm cafe. After initial meals, didn't return to the Thistle Restaurant.
Entertainment
Enjoyed the pianist in the Obseravatory Bar. Not into cabarets.
Shore Excursions
Didn't book any. Used the complimentary coach to go into Honfleur.
