Once again our agent Dylan came up with a not-to-be-missed "deal", and five weeks' after calling him we set sail from Southampton. Our weather predictions - according to the interent - were not good for touring round these islands we call home, but the gods were with us, and we had lovely weather 80% of our holiday! This was a trip we'd talked about many times, but never got round to booking up. We were delighted with our holiday, and loved seeing parts of the UK we might never have visited before. Our only disappointment was to be turned away from Guernsey, because of rough sea conditions for tenders to take us in. Mind you Saga Ruby, and Ocean princess were not successful either. Why on earth don't they alter the harbour facilities over there - they must lose out on tourist trade frequently according to some fellow cruisers who had failed to land there on previous occasions. Never mind, our Cruise Director Alan and his staff swiftly laid on an alternative programme for our first day, and all was well. This continued for the rest of the trip, with excellent facilities, food and entertainment, topped up with delightful company at our table of six. Well done Olsens (and Dylan) - we've already started to look at next year's brochure!!!!! Dianne & Keith from Swansea
