We went on the 4 night Disney Cruise over Christmas to the Bahamas on the Wonder. The family consists of Husband, Wife, daughters ages 16 and 9. We chose Christmas time because we hoped it would make it special.
Cabin: We had an outside cabin on deck 6, only previously had a balcony so this will be different for us. The cabin is spacious and beautifully appointed. The Disney cabins are very generous and with the 1.5 bathrooms, it meant that two people could be getting ready at the same time. The storage was fine, big wardrobes and plenty of drawers. I would have liked a kettle, but the coffee is free at any time on deck so no big deal. Our cabin steward was great, introduced him self at the beginning and we didn't see him until the end. Our cabin was magically cleaned and tidy every day. At night the turn down service was excellent. We loved out cabin, but would be quite happy with an inside one as we spent little time in there.
Food: The food was excellent, some of the best I have tasted. Varied every night and beautifully served. Our waiters were attentive and friendly without being over the top. Liked all the food served and our eldest tasted things she normally wouldn't. Our only complaint would be how boring the children's menu was. It were not inspiring, our 9 year old is not adventurous with food, but even she got bored of chicken every night.
Entertainment: the entertainment is very good, if you like Disney, we love Disney so throughly enjoyed the shows. There are adult areas with comedians, night club and bars also. The day time entertainment is good and around the pool the children love it when the characters come out. There is also a cinema showing latest films, drawing classes etc.
Christmas: We were disappointed in lack of Christmas feeling on the ship. Christmas was a sea day and it felt like any other day. Not to sure what I was expecting, but we thought it could have been better.
Ports: Hate Nassau, been there before and didn't get off the ship this time! We love castaway Cay, Disney's private island. It is worth paying for the cruise just to stop there. We hired bikes and cycled around the island. We also spent the time on the fantastic beach. There are so many activities to choose from really need another day here.
Conclusion: Loved the ship and Disney. Would go on another Disney cruise, but not at Christmas time.
