First time on Cunard and not the last as it had the edge on other P&O lines which we had sailed on before. The Queen Victoria is a great ship and a very relaxing ship for anyone just wanting to chill out and feel special.

Our cabin was mid ship deck 6 which was easy for the whole ship, cabin was not that large but the balcony was larger than normal and meant we could use it a lot as the weather was brilliant all the way down to the Canaries. Choice of food on board was great and suited both of us, some morning when in port we had room service and this was also to a high standard and bang on time. Entertainment was to a high standard and all shows were very well attended you had to be early to get the best seats!!!

Lots of places to just chill out and always somewhere to sit which you cannot always get on some ships.

On board activities were also very well attended and interesting. Plenty of things to do most days and during the evening from the pub to on board shopping which if anything was a little disappointing and expensive as most cruise lines are. We ate in the Britannia room, 2nd level and found the staff and the whole area just great and of course spoilt for choice with the menus every day. We tried the buffet on deck 9 some lunch times the choice was excellent, from hot cavery to Pizza baked for you. Afternoon tea in the Queens room is a must and free!! Other ships charge for this these days - do not miss!!!

All in all a great time was had by all. On the down side only the price of drinks which we felt were a little over the top for what was supposed to be top class wine if Cunard lowered the price I am sure they would sell more as a lot of people were just not buying wine with their meal!

Cunard at most of the ports run shuttle services which are free and it does save long walks right at the start of your days in port. The cruise itinerary was superb and gave you a taster of what the islands were like we liked Gran Canaries and Las Palmas the best and I am sure we will go back soon.

So if you want a great enjoyable cruise try Queen Victoria.
