Two years ago i set sail on my first cruise. It was a transalantic cruise from New York to Southampton onboard the Queen Mary 2. Being only 21 at the time i was a little worried i would be bored but i have to say it was one of the most fantastic holidays i have been on. My only negative comment was that, being a transalantic cruise it was very cold. Even though it was the middle of summer i still needed to wear a jumper when i was outside. On a positive side the food was fantastic. I was ordering food that i would never get at home and i tasted some of the best food i have ever done in my life. The staff were excellent. After being on board for only a few hours i was walking around two floors above my room and a member of staff remembered my name and wished me good day. You will never run out of food. If you want a snack there is a buffet you can attend, or if you fancy a drink there are numerous bars you can visit. There are many sporting activities you can undertake such as tennis, golf simulator, table tennis, darts as well as a fully equipped gym. Even though the rooms were small, being an inside cabin, there was still room for my suitcase, and dont worry about being a bit messy becasue they make your room twice a day. In the evening you can vist the theatre or enjoy a film at the cinema. During the day you can also enjoy films, lectures as well as an amazing planetaruim. All in all it was a fantastic holiday allthough next time i do thing a will book a cruise somewhere a bit hotter, as well as docking for the day, but the Queen Mary 2 was fantastic.
