The cruise was booked for our honey moon. We sailed from Southampton to New York, Return

Upon arriving at Southampton Docks, was very impressed with the level of staffing and the smoothness of operation for embarkation of passengers (especially when taking into consideration the volumes of people attempting to board the ship).

Once on board, the ship was clean, tidy and very well appointed and finished. The only real disappointment was the over complicated search for our cabin. Once inside the cabin, again it was well finished, clean and comfortable. We had a sheltered balcony cabin, which during the Atlantic crossing was defiantly the best option as wind buffeting was kept to a minimum. This meant the balcony was actually usable.

All facilities were correct and present as per the marketting information.

On board pricing was very reasonable with most foods and drinks available throughout the day and night.

Formal nights were a sight to behold and well worth making the effort for.

All in all, myself and my wife were very impressed with the whole experience. There certainly was plenty to do during our sailing and the food quality was excellent.

The only thing we decided that was lacking was a Comedian during the evening entertainment and that the Red-Hook terminal in New York did not do the cruise justice and seemed to be a little bit of an anti-climax especially after the amazing sail-in into to New York.

I leave on Feb 11 2012 so natuarally the excitment is building. Now its down to practicalities. How much is it to dine in Todd English and the chef's galley. What types of food are in the room service menu? What does a can of pepsi max cost? Can the 5 day hydro spa package be split over the 21 days or is it consecutive days? I have low vision has anyone else with print reading / writing difficulty had special concessions made for them ( I did inform the line). How chilly does it get at night out on deck ( considering it is summer and mostly in tropical waters. Hello to any other Aussies who are about to leave. I will see some of you on Tuesday at the meet and greet. We can then all write good reviews when we get back Thank you for your info and opions all you had written reviews.

David Copperfield was on board and his impromptu 'shows' off the peg and in the main theatre - still in my opinion ranks him as being on of the best commedians in the UK - did you try the G32 bar?
