I had taken early retirement earlier that month and decided to treat myself to the Chrismtas Crusie on the Crystal Symphony from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso in Chile.

After flying out Business Class having 4 days in Buenos Aires we boarded the ship with no hazzle of having to wait on line for hours which one often has with other crusie lines.

We went to the dinning room on board the ship for lunch which was very nice.Champagne was offerd with Lunch although I could imediatley tell it was sparling wine. I quietly informed the waiter about this and a bottle of Champagne was imediatley bought over and fresh glasses filled.

Cabin were very nice Bathrooms spacious fabulous range of Elemis toiletries which were replensished every day.

The ship looked wonderful with the Chrismtas Decorations up.One evening we had the Christmas tree lighting ceremony with Grog for all passengers.

Food in the Main dinning room was wonderful I was taken ill on board and had to miss the restaurent for two nights. upon returng the head Waiter came up to see when i required the Cavaiar and Lobster Thermidor I had requested the night before I was taken sick. also would I like a single double or treble portion of Caviar.

I was given $390 shipboard credit by Crystal as I was confined to my cabin for 24 hours.

The only downside was New Years Eve they advertisied complimentary Champange from 11.30pm to 12.15 once again I saw then serving Sparkling wine.I did ask the Bar man If I could have Champagne but was informed this was not availabe New years eve.this is the only beef I have about the Crusie. Why not put sparkling wine on the programme instead of Champagne.

Apart from this the ship food and entertainement were first class.

I am hoping to do a Christmas Crusie in 2011 I will miss being waited on this Christmas while cooking Lunch for 8 people.
